Wedgies

... and not the underwear kind.

What an opening, Erin. Kudos.

The title is actually referring to my new Opening Ceremony shoes! They are so snazzy I could to cry, and I am so grateful to have them! Thank goodness they were in a massive sale, as we all know prices can get cray cray, but they are for a wedding I am going to in the summer and general evening wear. Ah, I can't wait 'til the fateful day when I can wear heels casually, without breaking an ankle/ looking like a mega noob.

The little flower detail may or may not have been one of the main attractions to the shoe...
no shame.

Wedges are for sure my favourite style right now, and these babies fulfill all I could wish for in a pair of Opening Ceremony heels.

Here is a picture, taken on my last trip to East London, of my baby gurl Eva, who I mentioned in the last post. It occurred to me that I rarely post pictures of my friends, so I just want to prove that they are real. Hey, you never know these days, especially seeing as it is me, and I decided it was totes legit to use a pants joke as the opening line of a blog post, and lemme tell ya, that is the tip of the iceberg my friends.

Wow, okay, don't make this weird.

Here she is...

Me gusta.

This is a bubbly man in Brick Lane. By bubbly, I am not talking about his personality, but he was playing with bubbles and wearing a smiley tee, therefore he deserves recognition on this 'fashion' blog.

Tomorrow, I am going to spend the day at Duffy's studio for my 'Work Experience' during Enrichment week at school. Don't worry, I will give you the low down on the hip artist and his gnarly life in an East London studio. Stay tuned for tweets regularly about all the hipsters and overall awesomeness. Brap brap.

That was the last straw, now I am certain anyone who reads this thinks I am a douche lord. Koolio! :-)

Holla to y'all who are doing proper work experience at law firms and shiz, enjoy!

Indie or Indian?

The one thing you should know about me is that I change my mind very easily, especially about style. An example of this includes my initial dislike for Creepers, which are now glued to my feet. The latest, I hear all my fans out there ask (I joke I joke, I kid I kid)? Indian influenced fashion. That means bindies, head jewellery, the whole lot. Minus the saris. Actually, give it a week, I will probably own one, knowing me. Yes, I understand how people think it looks pretentious and contrived, but hear me out, y'all. As always, thank you Chanel. (That was written as if I actually believe Karl Lagerfeld reads this blog or something... ha, yeah, how silly, that would be so delusion... HEY KARL, I LOVE YOU KARL, KEEP READING, I KNOW YOU SUBSCRIBE, I JUST KNOW IT)....

When I saw the Indian inspired Chanel pictures, my heart fluttered like a little butterfly, and now I am pretty certain I know what love is. The make-up, the hair, jewellery, the whole shabang - drool worthy.

My new adoration may have also been triggered by the genius Wes Anderson film that is 'The Darjeeling Limited', filled with rich and vibrant colours. In reality, I am a mocking bird and attracted to anything bright and shiny, so this explains everything. Now I am taking inspiration from the whole Indian vibe, I decided to buy this head jewellery from Etsy, which I can't wait to arrive, and as soon as it does I will deffo post pictures. Might buy a cheeky sari to match.

Even more inspiration from tumblr, which I do see the cringe-factor with, but fuk da h8erz <3

My soul sistah, Eva, introduced me to some new music that I wanted to mention on here, and everyone should check out the Burberry Acoustic videos. If it wasn't already obvious, my taste is very eclectic, but the majority of these songs demonstrate my 'chill music' side. It's perfect to listen to when you are just lying in bed, finkin bout lyf. Favourites include Indigo Home - Rue Panes and Yoko - Pegasus Bridge. Lav it.

Lastly, I want to say I received all my exam results during this last week, and I am a happy bunny and I am even more psyched for Summer! My first event of the holiday is my trip to Bleach with my bestie, Beth, to get our hurr did. She is going to get what I got last time, with the underneath layer of her hair, but purple, et moi? ALL LILAC! Of course, there will be about a trillion photos on here after, so stay tuned!

AND NOW, FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

Day of Fathers

Indeed, it is Father's Day 2k12, let us rejoice and take a moment to thank all Dads for doin their thang. That wasn't meant to be sexual innuendo but, alas, it is too late and I am immature so I think it's funny teehee. To do something as a fam we went to see Little Duffy's latest show in town, which was fabbity as always. Props to him, and I enjoyed looking at the rest of the artists' work, including some Zoolander-esque male models embracing the 90's vibe and dancing, being good looking together in a room. 'Twas splendiferous.
