Autumn Fuzziness

Possibly the best season of them all. Maybe it's because my birthday is the 3rd of October and THAT MEANS HALLOWEEN IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. That's why there's some autumnal fuzziness happening all up in my grill. Now the point of this post was to check in to reassure you I haven't died from AS Level work already, but I want to say that my new school is pretty much the bomb, I haven't had time to be cultured and totally artistic, hence the lack of posting on here, however I thought I would just post a few of the latest inspirations and purchases. But, as I am doing Photography A-Level, I might try to post some of my work on here, if I can. Either way, I am have already been thinking about my latest video project, so maybe that will be coming soon too...

Poison Ivy was one of those 90s film where you think you want to be them but then you also cringe every 6 seconds by something they say or wear.

Let's be real, if Drew Barrymore is in it them I am so down.

Can we just. Sky you are an idol, with or without the heroin and ecstasy xoxo

LOOK AT MY CANDLES. LOOK AT THEM.

Even better the second time seeing it

Summer 2013, you will be missed

This has been one of the best summers of my life. Not only because it was 3 months and GCSEs were officially over, but of course my first month in New York was most definitely the best month of my life thus far. Every day I think about it, and even though it makes me sad because I miss it so much, I am so grateful to have had such a phenomenal experience, making so many friends, learning about photography and general life lessons, and of course, living in my favourite city was beyond perfection. Then, visiting my beautiful friend from the course, Sara, in Rome was one of the most beautiful 3 days I could have wished for, learning about the city and being with some one who will be a friend for life. Being in London can be quite boring during the summer, but I had an awesome time being able to relax, see my friends, read books and watch films. It reminded me that I don't have to feel guilty about spending time alone and not constantly going out with friends, because I need to accept that it doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing, enjoying my own company.

So, since I go back to school on Tuesday, I have 1 day left of my summer, and everyone is already back at school, therefore I will take advantage of the last lazy day, but I am very excited to start at my new college! Not sure if I have talked about it on the blog, but I am going to take English Literature, French, History of Art and Photography. NO MORE SCIENCE OR MATHS OH MY GOD. It will be a very strange and different environment, being able to wear my own clothes, make up and having boys at my school for the first time, but I think it's exactly what I need. My New York experience has reminded me how wonderful it is meeting new people with similar or completely different interests, and I can't wait.

As I mentioned before, spending time alone is an important part of being accepting of oneself, so earlier this week when everyone was at school, I took a trip to the Photographer's Gallery and it was bliss. Here are some of my favourite photographs...

Next time I post I will be an official year 12 student! Until then...

Toxic

INSPO

ERIN STYLE

Über happy with how it turned out. Mother dearest wasn't too keen, but I think she secretly likes how it turned out.

Counting down the days until I start at my new Sixth Form College (!!?!!!) so until I go back to a school routine I am trying to make the most of having time to watch RuPaul's Drag Race and Bob's Burgers in my pyjamas until 3am, sleeping in and I also plan on going to a few photography exhibitions that I read about on the Time Out website so I am not being a total potato. Off to decorate my school notebooks, will be posting pictures of the final products soon...

Before I leave, here are some of the songs on my latest playlist. They aren't anything new or hip, but neither am I.
