Backstage at Mary Katrantzou
Yesterday, thanks to our immensely talented hair dressing friend, Eugene Souleiman, I was able to go backstage at the Mary Katrantzou show. There, I got to gawk at the models getting their hair and make up done, whilst also getting a sneak peek at all the dresses! We were then shoo-ed out when things started to get hectic and went to our standing spots to watch the show. Admittedly, I'm not always a massive fan of the very structured and angular shapes used by some designers, as used in this show, but the way the outfits moved on the models, and the patterns on the material, were magnificent. The show was executed well, and the minimal, natural make up with the block false fringes accompanied the outfits perfectly. Another thing I adored was the music selection. Zombie - The Cranberries as the final song? Winner.
