"You have never been in love until you've seen the dawn rise behind the home for the blind"

Hey hey everyone! Summer is going really well for me, but it's about to get better. Yes, I am off to my beloved California (L.A and Santa Cruz. REPRESENT, YO!), but something else is coming up that makes me want to dance until the cows come home. You ready? It's real good.

I am going to a Morrissey concert. Cue the spaz attacks.

My parents have seen him live before, but this is my first and I am beyond excited as he is one of my favourite singer/song writers ever. VIVA LA MORRISSEY!

Title of this post - lyrics from 'First of the Gang'

Before I go, here is one of my favourites by the Mozza...

P.S Check out my Lookbook, I am super addicted!

Who's Ed Sheeran?

A little while ago I heard my friends talking about a singer called Ed Sheeran. Now, at first I just shrugged it off, assuming he was another 'hip hop' singer or something, singing incoherent lyrics, usually about some big bootay girls and drugs. How very wrong I was. The 20 year old singer/songwriter was born in West Yorkshire and raised in Suffolk, learned guitar at a young age and began writing songs. In 2005 he began recording and released two self titled albums. He moved to London in 2008 to play gigs in small venues and he began to become more well known and eventually he was signed with Atlantic Records at the beginning of 2011. My friends recently saw him at Latitude and said he was incredible. Do yourself a favour and listen to his music!

Summer 2011 - Week 1

Hola amigos. My summer is going really well so far and it feels like it has been way more than only 1 week which is awesome! How have I spent my holiday so far, you may ask? It has been mellow, walking on the Heath with my dog, seeing 'Holy Rollers' (fyi, it's pretty good), watching films in my new cinema room (it's totally like a 'Cribs' episode in my house now. "This is where the magic happens"), going shopping, and all that jazz. One night, can't remember which, my Mother and I went to Jade Jagger's jewelry show and I bought these sweet gold skull earrings with pink diamonds for eyes. Obviously, I adore them. Another thing I should mention is that on Thursday night I went to Jake and Dinos Chapman's new show. They are really good friends of the family and I have known them for nearly my whole life, so my Dad has a lot of their work all over the house (and, of course, 2 tattoos designed by Dinos himself). This show definitely lived up to the high standards and maybe even exceeded them. The twist on this particular show was that there were 2 venues and all of Jake's art was in one, Dinos' in the other. As always it blew my mind. I'm very into darker art and their work was phenomenal and exactly what I love about art. They are not afraid to shock and go further than other artists would. People who are offended by their art should get over it and just see how much work has gone into is and just how beautiful it is. Jus' sayin'. After seeing both shows we attended the after party where we saw Little Duffy, Polly Morgan and a billion other people which I would list but that would get to a point where it would come across as blatant name dropping (cough, Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Natalia Vodianova, Pixie Geldof, Kelly Osborne, cough). May I just add in that Natalia took a picture of me and told me I looked so cool. Life = complete. Enough jibber jabber, here are the photos -

Outfit for Jade's show.
Top - Christopher Kane, Shorts - Reformation, Shoes - Doc Martin.

New earrings that I am in love with.

Outfit for the Chapmans Brothers' show.
Top - Ashish, Shorts - Reformation, Shoes - Céline.

One of my favourite pieces for sure!

These girls, wearing a brown uniform with the Nazi symbol and 'They teach us nothing' on their jumpers, were scarily similar to the little ones at my Junior school. The brown uniform part, not the Nazi part. Just wanted to clear that up. Moving on....

Thought I would throw in a photo of me and Milo.

That's all for now. Adios!

Thank Mac for iPhones

My camera charger being gone poses the massivo problemo of not being able to blog pictures of myself looking like a grade A nerd, but luckily I have a little friend. That friend is my iPhone. Though the quality is usually not as good it works for me! Here are a couple photos of 1. my Chanel tattoos (remember i did them last year?) 2. today's outfit, featuring a River Island cropped top (don't judge, there is sometimes a rare moment where something in there catches my beady eye) and my new Topshop trousers, bought yesterday.

Vive l'été de 2011!

Bonjour mes petits amis. C'est les vacances! Okay, enough French, it's the summer holidays and I am beyond excited as I am jetting off to L.A in a few weeks, then to Santa Cruz. The usual trip; staying at my beloved Chateau Marmont, shopping 'til I am a-dropping, soaking up the sunshine and then off to have fun with family friends in SC. Until then, I am chilling in London and trying to persuade mes parents to take me to Paris for a day trip. I may or may not be dreaming about a trip to Disneyland too... Hopefully I will report back with news on my victorious persuasion techniques, but for now, here are a couple photos of me in my new A.P.C top I bought the yesterday.

Going shopping tomorrow, so hopefully I will be showing you more pictures of the newest additions to my closet! Vive l'été!
