Early Summer in London

The recent sunshine in London has made my February much more bearable and I am definitely in the summer mood! Easter is 5 weeks away, which is kind of a long time, but the fact that Coachella is in 46 days makes it that much more exciting. All the talk of summer and sun has made me think about some of the clothes I will be wearing on holiday and of course, one of the most important holiday items, sunglasses! Usually I wear my turtle shell Ray Bans, or some cheap vintage ones I bought in NYC, but this year my eyes are set on the gorgeous A-Morir by Kerin sunglasses! My goal is to have a pair for my Easter trip to L.A and I will tell you once I have got them (don't worry, I will find a way!

These babies are my faves and they will be mine. Oh yes, they will be mine.A-Morir by Kerin Rose sunglasses

So, you know when you go to a concert and you feel like a total noob for not knowing songs? Well, maybe that's just me, but my goal is to be a music goddess by the time I am at Coachella, so I have made a spotify playlist with the majority of the performers' music. Whilst doing this, I came across what is now my favourite song. It's a bit naff and quite 70's, in the best way possible, but I am going with it. Enjoy!

Baby, I Can See Your Halo

Why yes, that is a reference to a Beyonce lyric. It is also the first thing that came into my head when I saw the exquisite Alexander McQueen A/W 2012 collection. Of course, I did not just look at the impeccable 'halo' hair; the clothes blew me away. There was always a worry that it would not live up to the usual standards after McQueen's death, but it was a phenomenal show and I loved it all!

Mary Katrantzou and Bart Simpson

Every fashion magazine has been hyping about the latest collection for Topshop by designer Mary Katrantzou, and frankly I have been aswell. Despite not being able to pronounce the name, I can pronounce the words 'major', 'chiiic' and 'hashtag totes amaze' (watch this, it explains everything and is literally perfection). Back to the collection. Yes, it is floral for spring, which is indeed 'groundbreaking' according to the phenomenally sarcastic voice of Miranda Priestly, but it was fab all the same.

Miranda approves.

My Mother was on top of the game and bought me a dress, as well as some trousers for herself. Yes, the dress is actually a medium (massive on me) but we are getting it altered and I can't wait to wear it, and yes, I will be posting pictures when it fits!

Before I go, can I ask if it is wrong to be desperate for these Jeremy Scott Fall 2012 Bart Simpson jumpers? Because if it is, then I want to be wrong.

Double Trouble 2

Another double film day! First up: The Fighter. Yes, it is essentially about boxing, which was initially a total turn off for me, but the acting was phenomenal (and frankly, Christian Bale is an acting God. Enough said.)

Technically, I saw 'In America' a few years ago, but I watched it again today and it is such a lovely and touching story which deserves the top Milo rating. It also stars Paddy Considine (Dead Man's Shoes, A Room For Romeo Brass), who is EXCEPTIONAL, which makes the film even more wonderful.

Double Trouble

Yesterday was a '2 new movies' kinda day. My parents and I went to see 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' and then in the evening we watched 'Drive' Both were excellent, maybe Drive was a little better just because it was approximately 100 minutes of Ryan Gosling being a BAMF (for all those oldies out there, that is 'bad ass mother fluffer). 'Extremely Loud and Incredible Close' is a definite tear jerker and I highly recommend the book and film.

Resolution Progress

Firstly, where the hell did half term go? That was literally the fastest week EVER, but hey ho, back to school on Monday I go. What I wanted to talk about was my progress on the make up front! My goal of rocking lipstick has been swell, thanks to Mac and Barry M. The picture of my looking angsty and witchy was my dark purpley-black lip pencil (Barry M) and my bright barbie pink is 'Girl About Town' (Mac). Lovin' 'em. Definitely going to be buying more shades soon!

P.S. WATCH THIS NOW. JUST DO IT.

P.P.S. 55 DAYS UNTIL COACHELLA MOFOS!

Sunset Boulevard

Like pretty much every typical girl, I love old Hollywood films, and so does my Mother. Yesterday, having a girly day getting my hair done and doing a spot of shopping, it was perfect to end the day with Mumsy, watching a classic black and white movie. It was wonderful and obviously, my new inspiration is 50's glamour, and I am dreaming of having perfectly done up hair and make-up 24/7 like every movie star back then.
